Using multiple cameras to improve accuracy.

I have been having the 77777 occasionally too! Would you be willing to share your files/code? My custom 'front end' local website to view data is in PHP. Nothing fancy. Just gives a list and option to filter by date/time or plate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Using multiple cameras to improve accuracy.

I have two cameras, one facing West and one facing east. We are a two-plate state but some don't properly display the front or one is obstructed. I'm just using the open source daemon dumping to MySQL. It has no filtering so I get every attempt at deciphering the image so a ton of junk data and...

Recommended computer for ALPR with 2 cameras?

Sorry for the delay! I followed the guide here OpenALPR - A How-To on Ubuntu 16.04 Desktop If I remember correctly it was slightly different due to variations in the recent packages. I do remember that I had to use Ubuntu 16.04 and NOT 18.

    Date/Time issue

The IPC is the camera name as defined in the cameras web configuration (accessed through each individual camera's IP address). You can uncheck the box for this or preferably change it to something meaningful (driveway, front door, etc.). As for times. You have two options. You can go into the...

Recommended computer for ALPR with 2 cameras?

Now I remember why I didn't go the paid route. Just too expensive for me as the $5 plan was not sufficient. With the open source version I have unlimited retention and it's free! I do miss out on the filtering that the paid version provides. So mine logs all plate read attempts regardless of...

Recommended computer for ALPR with 2 cameras?

It's been a while since I looked into the paid version. Wasnt there a cap on how many images you can have analyzed/month? If I have two cameras at 30fps I feel like I'd use that up quickly. Or does the software pick and choose what images are sent? I have my open source version integrated with...

Recommended computer for ALPR with 2 cameras?

Definitely want to dedicate the camera to full time ALPR duties. Especially if you want night captures as you'll need to tweak settings so all that will be visible at night is the plate. I've been running three cameras on an HP EliteDesk for over a year now. Also running Ubuntu but the open...

    Garden Pictures

Tomatos, zucchini, cucumbers, strawberries. I have seeds for bell peppers and sugar daddy peas that I have yet to plant. We downsized significantly this year. We used to have a similar sized area for pumpkins and watermelon but every year they were overcome by a powdery mildew as I never had...

    Living in an RV/Van.

While I can't speak to RV life. I do have dash cameras in all of our vehicles. The below is what I have and they have worked well. We had an issue with the one in my wife's car and the company was quick to send us a replacement and paid return label. Rexing V1P Pro Dual 1080p Full HD Front...

A hoodie and a hand is all you need to render a Swann Camera inert

[emoji444]Blinded by the light![emoji444] The lighting definitely doesn't look real-world in that image. My uncle had me help install a swann DVR system probably 6 years ago and it taught me the importance of researching a quality system. He had a dark red truck and it looked bright orange on...

Review - Dahua SD49225XA-HNR 2MP 25x Starlight + IR PTZ AI Camera with Deep IVS & SMD Plus

I'm fortunate that our neighbors don't have a problem with them. Several times I've had a neighbor tell me about something suspicious they saw and ask if my cameras captured it. It actually encouraged two other neighbors to install cameras. Only a few neighbors know that I have LPR running...

    Thoughts on direct burial cat6

Definitely go PVC conduit larger than you think and an extra run of it if you can. I ran ethernet and power out to my shed last year and included an extra PVC run. I ended up using it for more low voltage cable and already wish I had used bigger PVC for ease of running more Ethernet through it...

Camera Feeds Stop Until Camera is Rebooted in BI After Power Outage

Oh boy. I've never had that before. Might wait good time to do a factory default. Then under the setup section: 1) Create presets under the PTZ section. I believe it's PTZ > function > presets 2) create a smart plan for your preset, selecting IVS. 3) under IVS section set up and intrusion...

Question for the experts on BI and PTZ cameras... Since I installed this camera I left it on one preset with an intrusion zone for auto tracking. Today I set up Blue Iris to use my other cameras as 'spotter cameras' so when they trigger I have their 'on trigger' event call the preset covering...

power issues causing different wifi reactions

The concern is less about viewing your video feed and more about what software they could install on your camera, router, or any other device they get access to through port forwarding. They could turn a device into a bot to do their dirty deeds or they could start trying to spy on your internet...

Wear and tear was part of the reason for using bedliner spray instead of regular paint. It forms a thick protective coating. It also has a slight texture to it. Not sure how the moving parts would do with salty water hitting them all the time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
