Blue Iris - Clips and archiving set up help

I believe it's fixed. I deleted all the files from 2019, it was like 520 files. Maybe I didn't have BI set up to delete back then?

Blue Iris - Clips and archiving set up help

Yes, sir, Blue Iris in the only thing on the V drive. The New folder is the only one that has anything saved within it... I'm pretty sure I have BI set up to delete after 21 days, BUT there are files in the New folder all the way back from 2019

Thank you very much for this information. Can you please explain a little more about "rebuild the DB"? I really do not know what that means. Also, here's what my V drive is showing.

Ubiquity EdgeRouter X - Configuring to Isolate Surveillance Networks

I read this thread again, and now have a couple more questions if you do not mind, @guykuo. 1. Will the Pre-configured file and OpenVPN configurations you provided work on an EdgeRouter 4? 2. With the set up you provided, will I need to buy more Ubiquity APs and another POE switch just for my...

Ubiquity EdgeRouter X - Configuring to Isolate Surveillance Networks

@guykuo, all your time and help with this thread is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! One quick question: with the Pre-configured file you provided, can I use any brand, unmanaged POE switch for LAN 2 Surveillance (ETH2) to connect my BlueIris computer/cameras to, and everything would...

How to see if any of your smart devices or IP cams are phoning home?

It may be old news, but I just read how Ubiquiti APs were phoning home after a firmware update. It got me thinking about my network, and are any of my devices phoning home?? I have an ASUS AC2900. My cameras (with static IPs) are blocked from the internet via the router, but I believe I read...

    OpenVPN help

I didn't think of that... I'm not sure and cannot check right now as I am away from the network. I'm a total noob to this networking stuff, so please correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't the DDNS I set up in my router prevent IP changing issues?

Can someone please educate me on the Dahua Exposure settings? :)

My question within the exposure settings deal with "Manual" and "Shutter Priority". Basically which one should I use, and please educate me on why they seem to act in the opposite way. Within "Shutter Priority" when I lower the shutter, the picture gets brighter as I believe should happen when...

    Spiders and insects.

Give this insectside a shot, Talstar P. It has done wonders for me with my insect infestation we were having (our home backs up to a overgrown greenbelt). It’s more of a commercial grade product that can kill/repeal most insects for 60-90 days depending on your location/weather. Where I buy it...

**Correction** This camera was NOT recording direct to disk on the first video. The second video with the bitrate at 4096 was recorded direct to disk. Sorry about that.

Front door install with video clips

I drilled a 3/4 inch hole into the mortar of the brick wall to fit the camera's pigtails into the wall. Using a wire pull rod I bought on Amazon made this run somewhat easy... Just some patience and a bit of luck to fish the rod through the 3/4 inch hole, up the wall, and into the attic. Here's...

Front door install with video clips

Will do! I’m fixing to head out for a few hours. Later today I’ll try to provide some pictures of the cabling. It really wasn’t that bad; just some sweat, scratched hands, and a bit of determination.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. I didn't even think of that -- do you do this through BI or manually by twisting the lens?

Front door install with video clips

The camera is a 4231F-AS (3.6 mm lens). It's mounted right at 5 feet, 5 inches high from the ground. As always, a special thanks to @aristobrat and everyone else here on the forum that helped with my questions. This was my very first IP cam install and setup, and I could NOT have done...
