What is causing duplicate cameras with 37777 port number?

Just to be clear, this is not my screenshot. I searched the issue trying to find an answer before posting and someone was having the same issue ( this was their screenshot). My duplicate cameras with port 37777 were showing in the top window as I never added them from the "Device Search"...

What is causing duplicate cameras with 37777 port number?

I understand the port 1-16 is decided by what POE port you plug the camera into on the NVR but what is causing duplicate cameras with the 37777 port number?

Wonder if dahua has any plans for IVS video overlay

IMO this could have its uses but I wouldn't rely heavily on it. More of a quick daily view. Wonder if dahua has any plans for something like this..

What is everyone using for VPN service provider?

Right, otherwise if the client wasn't active on your device, you would be outside of the "local network" and therefore not have local access. Correct? Looks like my current Asus router only supports PPTP. I may purchase one that supports Openvpn as I was just reading that PPTP is outdated and...

What is everyone using for VPN service provider?

I always thought VPNs were either all in or all out.which left concern for things like my home automation and geofencing! Thanks for the help guys.

What is everyone using for VPN service provider?

Ohhh, so you can have the VPN option enabled but only opt to use it when you want a secure connection like as you stated for viewing or managing your cameras??

What is everyone using for VPN service provider?

Mat, that was actually a good way of explaining it. Thanks for taking the time :) This leaves me to question, do people here typically just use a separate VPN server or router with VPN option connected to their NVR or Blue iris PC only and use a second router for everyday browsing, downloading...

What is everyone using for VPN service provider?

Weird, maybe I am not on the legit openvpn website. I was reading through the first link that civic17 posted and it stated the following. IS A VPN FREE TO USE? Fact: There is no such thing as a truly free VPN. VPNs cost the provider a large amount of money to develop and operate, so if they...

What is everyone using for VPN service provider?

Hmm, my Asus router has support for VPN but not sure if it has Open VPN built-in. I will have to look into that.

What is everyone using for VPN service provider?

Oh, I wasn't aware there was a difference :/ I suppose the latter has to do with proxies? Can open VPN be used with a router config?

What is everyone using for VPN service provider?

I'm thinking about setting up a VPN for a few reasons. One being I would like to add indoor cameras and two being my provider seems to be throttling my legal torrent downloads. I would be setting it up through my router but I have never used a VPN so I am not sure who to use as a provider...

Shutting of indoor cameras via geo fencing or other?

Wow, thanks for this. It's a little more work than I wanted to put in currently but who knows, maybe down the road, I will give it a shot. I'm honestly only incorporating an indoor cam to watch my dog when I'm not home. In the future, I may may want to expand on the security aspect.

Shutting of indoor cameras via geo fencing or other?

Thanks, Fenderman. Are you referring to Blueiris software when you say you can manually change profiles or use geofencing to do so? From your preveous posts I know you're not a fan but I currently use a NVR.

Shutting of indoor cameras via geo fencing or other?

I was looking at dahuas imou ranger pro as it has an option to hide the lens at a click of a button. I also considered hooking up the indoor cameras to a separate Poe switch that is plugged into a smart plug that turns on and off via geofencing. Just curious some of the ways people here are...

Updating camera config on multiple cameras via IP configtool??

Got it. So you most likely have to do all the configuring through configtool. Again, I was a bit confused because I was trying to use the .backup that I created from the cameras GUI. Unfortunately, config tool lacks a ton of options like enabling IVS. Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Updating camera config on multiple cameras via IP configtool??

Thanks man, I didn't realize template was for the config files! I will test it out when I get home. Does this allow importing of the ".backup" file also? Here at work its only showing an option for .xml but all of my cameras here are behind the NVR switch.

Updating camera config on multiple cameras via IP configtool??

I have always painstakingly logged into each individual camera and to change the preferred settings. I am now trying to set up a 16 camera system and that would be way too time-consuming. I swore there was a way to take the backup that I exported from one camera ( all the same cameras) and use...

IMOU app integration with google home!

So, I just noticed under the "more services tab in the IMOU app that it now has support for IFTT Alexa and google home. Of course, I automatically went and linked my IMOU account to my google home to see what it could do! Well, when I say "hey google whats on deck cam" and Google responds...

PTZ autotrack camera for home use?

Thanks Looney2ns. I currently have autotrack enabled at my shop and it seems to work well so I purchased another for my home. I do not plan on removing any of my current static cameras though. I did notice those PTZ Auto track cameras with built-in AI that dahua has. I'm very interested in...

    NVR4216-16P-4KS2 support 10TB drives?

Thank you, I did read that but I was wondering if anyone had tried higher than 6TB as often times companies neglect updating such information even after updating their firmware to make these drives compatible.
