Connecting Reolink RLC 410 to Hiwatch Hikvision NVR

This model will not run under BI. That is admitted by Reolink. But in other software that does recognize the camera the image is very good both day and night. It is night at the moment and the frame rate is 10 and bit rate 384 so your numbers are based on?. I will be returning the cam as BI is...

Connecting Reolink RLC 410 to Hiwatch Hikvision NVR

Yes I can see the cam working fine in its own client software. My LAN confirms the IP address of the device. It is only BI that can't find it even if I give it the password and IP. Looking to the Reolink support site ; they have a page on how to connect to Blue Iris. It looks like my model...

Blue Iris is buggy and not user friendly.

I've had Blue Iris for a few years now and whenever i have to re-install my cameras from a reset it is the biggest pain in the ass. Now it won't re-install any of the cameras I have previously installed . The associated mobile apps and browser views that come with the cameras work just fine. But...

Major problems connecting to server from outside home network

I have more than triple checked my settings. There was nothing to change. I just re-booted BI (only) and installed the upgrade over the upgrade as I did a week and a half ago to the last version. Now without me changing any settings the Android app connected locally. So there has to be something...

Major problems connecting to server from outside home network

Experiencing it all over again. "Unable to reach Server" In BI the remote wizard is green ticks all the way. No addresses have changed. Canyouseeme.org states it can see me. So why is this still going on ???

Major problems connecting to server from outside home network

I was having the same problem. Updated to 4.5.9.3x64 and the problem went away. Frustrating as the previous update had this bug from nowhere.

    Missing Clip List

OH!. When changing to a new path in Options for Clips and Archiving , I see the path for the database has changed to the Nas. It never was that way before and BI didn't create a db folder there. Yes I will change that first . Crossed fingers.

    Missing Clip List

The DataBase has never been saved on the Nas. The db folder is on local drive C: as in the pic above. Just as an experiment I'll save my clips to C:/BlueIris/New and see if there is a difference. If that doesn't work do you figure it's time to uninstall / reinstall ?

    Missing Clip List

Restarted BI again and five motion trigger clips were recorded. Once again Empty List plus the Timeline showed no activity during these recordings. So re-booted BI again and checked the Status. It says it regenerated 5 clips. But the clip pane is still empty. The timeline shows no activity...

    Missing Clip List

Folders are empty except for the Log and sync folders. I just now deleted the db folder. Rebooted the PC. Started up BI . Checked the above folders and db folder was Not created. Cameras recorded motion and sent the clips to where they always go but the List still says empty. Opened the status...

    Missing Clip List

I only record from motion triggers. 115 gig is much more then enough . I rarely use more than a few gig and clips auto delete after 20 days. This system has been running fine for a couple of years so why the sudden Empty list . Like I say the clips still record to the same folder and the paths...

    Missing Clip List

I am having the same problem as the Clip List states Empty. The cameras are still recording clips and storing them in the same folder though. This happened since recent updates. Currently running 4.5.7.4x64. I tried the removing of all users including Admin and rebooting but the list is still...

How to have User given permission to record ?

I've been running BI on a home PC for over near a year now. No security problem with that; if that is what you are suggesting. What kind of trouble are you suggesting? And why do you think I should not use the trafficlight manually? My schedule is always changing so I find turning the...

How to have User given permission to record ?

There is no workaround? Giving someone Admin control over your whole system just so they can turn record off and on in one program ? What is the point of even having a Admin checkbox in Edit User panel?

How to have User given permission to record ?

I have given my daughter the ability to run BI from her desktop. We are both on the same machine. She logs into BI with her own username and password. In the edit user check box I have given her Admin rights in the Access column. When we startup BI and she logs in, the console will not allow her...

Review - TOP-201 Super Mini 720P HD IP-Cam (The Cheapest IP Cam So Far !!)

I had some trouble with this cam initially but after resolving an address conflict all has been well. I put it in a small plywood box with a peep hole and blended it in with the veranda trim. The light above the mailbox is motion sensored. If someone was to go through the effort of busting up...

How to add camera to BI that is not in the drop down list

I spent hours pulling my hair out trying to load a new cam (NVT) into BI. Using CMS that came with the cam makes it even harder. Finally came to the forum to search for clues and like magic, boom there is the answer. Thanks for this video. The Onvif Device Manager is the cats a**.

    Backing up Clips

Solved! The Portable USB 3 Drive was not compatible with the Netgear R7000 router. By sheer accident I found a compatibility list of USB3 drives. Mine wasn't on it. Replacing with one on the list gives me smooth playback so far. Terrible support from Netgear. The R7000 has amazing wifi reach...

HOw to turn off IR without changing camera to day mode

I have a couple of Foscams (regrettably) F19828P and a 19803P. Neither camera has a setting to just turn off the IR and yet stay in night IR mode. No matter which setting it will not see the illuminator unless it's own IR is on. I was thinking I could pull apart the housing and black tape over...

    Backing up Clips

Ok this is too strange. I hooked up my laptop to the LAN. In windows Explorer I can access the Laptop just fine. When I start/bootup BI, Explorer can no longer see the laptop in the Network. I get the following Error I run diagnostics from this window and get: When I close BI, I...

    Backing up Clips

Just thinking if I come home and my place is tossed(again) and the computer is gone , I could dump the video from the USB drive onto a tablet and play back with VLC. I can see the advantage of having the proprietary BVR format so the open files can be played in BI but after they are archived it...

    Backing up Clips

It's all network wired. The router has a USB 3 port where a portable USB 3 drive is connected. Then hard wired downstairs 13 ft. to the computer. The throughput should be fine. And it was all fine for a month or so.

    Backing up Clips

I had my clips written as .BVR directly to a USB 3 external drive on my network. The drive is hooked up to my router , both safely in the attic away from thieves. The logic being, that if my computer downstairs, which is running Blue Iris , was stolen I would still have the footage in the...
