Are you saying the one on hikvision ftp is mutli-language? i.e. working on china version camera. You must have US version? The image posted here does work on china cameras.

Need to be doing ftp via active mode. google ur ftp client and see how to set it to active mode

Just to report back after 3 weeks. No issue with blinking after adding the tape.

I doubt that is a valid vendor account. BTW, trying to contact the seller to ask some question. No resonse either. I'm going to add to my cart, but don't complete the purchase, and wait it out. I'll bet Aliexpress will send a notice that it is a suspicious account in a week or two.

Ok, I went back up there this weekend and reopen and re-taped it again. This time I pushed it all the way back in until it hit the metal mount, then slid it forward a little to remove any contact, and since last night, no more blinking IR. Hope this holds. I will report back after some time...

It's random blinking on my camera. Some nights it is fine, while other nights it is blinking mode. I thought maybe how much light is available that may trigger it, but when I turned on all my front lights, it still blinks once it has started blinking for the evening. I just turned it back...

I experienced the same with the lens cover. So maybe ir reflection off of the lens back at the sensor?

I'm having the same problem with the same camera model. I didn't come up with a fix for it, and so just using it as Day mode until get a replacement camera.
