    Cable testing equipment.

This isn't something I will spend a lot of money on, as it isn't used all that often. Spend $50 and it will get you this setup which has proven very reliable for me. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08334R9KP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

2024 EmpireTech Active Deterrence PTZ Camera Release

Wow, those are nice. But are not going to be cheap. You can do the same function, basically, by using a 180 camera as a 'spotter' to tell the other camera, a PTZ, where to go. This will be a lot cheaper and not have the high POE++ power requirement the x-spans require.

Where to buy a windows key?

I have purchased Win10Pro keys from a UK company, Softkeyworld, and have had no problems in the past. Currently, you can get Win10Pro key for about $20 using the displayed coupon on their home page. Note, this is a Retail key, so it can be removed after install, and moved to a different PC...

Does the PTZ5A4M-25X 1/1.8 fit on mounting arm used for Dahua PTZ SD49225T-HN?

From looking at both spec sheets from Dahua, the PFB-305W mounting arm is used by both cameras. Yes, it should be a simple swap out. Let us know how it works out.

3D printed base for installing PFA130-E on Diamond rib steel with 6" centers.

@CanCuba - Awesome find. Thank you for digging this up. Now I need a 3D printer!

3D printed base for installing PFA130-E on Diamond rib steel with 6" centers.

Awesome work! I've been wanting to 3D print an angled base for mounting PTZ cameras like the SD22204UE-GN. The tracking is a little off when mounted to a soffit with about a 10 degree angle. I haven't been able to find a Dahua or other manufacturer mount that allows this.

Fixed My New PTZ5A4Mx25's sloppy installation. How should I Fix this Better?

I would have used something like the PFA120 as a mount for the arm the camera mounts to. With that, you could stuff all the bulky cables, etc. inside of it protected from the elements. In reality, the arm itself has enough space to stuff all the cables/connectors into. All that would be...

bidens incredible transition to electric cars

Agreed. But I have to say, if you need a car now then hybrid is currently the best solution IMOP. My sisters 2 Toyota hydrids had zero problems at -10 here in Northern IL. Sunday, at Meijer I got to witness for the first time, how Teslas are pretty useless in the cold. Several flat bed tow...

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.0

I have CPAI detections quite often NOT appearing in the left side Alerts list that shows in BI. They show obviously when I choose the Cancelled Alerts option, but not with Confirmed Alerts. I'm racking my brain over this. Anyone have any idea what I am missing?

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.0

I can't answer any questions about Docker for Windows, as I am not using it. Running it on Win10Pro with a SFF i8700 and just using CPU. No hardware acceleration of GPU, and I consistently get sub 100ms to 200 ms detection times running the .NET detection engine. This is on 2.0.8 CPAI.

Blue iris all of a sudden crashing, can’t get in to adjust

It's very easy to DELETE a camera from BI. Just right click on the live view of the camera, select CAMERA SETTINGS. On the bottom of the GENERAL tab just above OK, is an option for DELETE.

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.0

I'm surprised CPAI does not have a clean-up tool to completely remove not only the software, but also the Registry entries created. I tried to upgrade CPAI from 2.0.8 to 2.3.4 and ran into numerous problems, including the Python issue that prevented 2.3.4 from even running. I gave up trying...

ipcamtalk forum software spontaneously rejecting users’ email

Thank you for fixing my account, too! It initially started 7 or 8 days ago, with a message stating my email address could not be reached. Tried several other email addresses and none were able to get the confirmation email to register the account. But it's working now.

I would log directly into the DVR/NVR, not via a Web interface and see if you then have ADMIN rights. This might be a limitation of the Web interface, just a guess.

direct burial bulk Ethernet cable recommendations

I use Liquid Tight flexible conduit, in a continuous run. You can get lengths up to 100 ft. or special order longer lengths (not recommended) if needed. I run normal CAT 5e or Cat 6a through this. Liquid Tight is available in both plain flexible plastic or steel lined if you need grounding...

Review Dahua OEM SD22204UE-GN by EmpireTech Andy

Face detection is included under the EVENT tab, along with HEAT MAP and ABNORMALITY. These options are not part of AI (HUMAN or VEHICLE) detection which allow for reducing false alarms, but are part of the older (or less expensive) cameras. AI level cameras will include these options, also...

Review Dahua OEM SD22204UE-GN by EmpireTech Andy

IVS on the SD22204UE does not have AI like the 5442 series. It's the same as the 2431, meaning they are more susceptible to false alerts with things like clouds, shadows or moving leaves. Also, the SD22204UE does not have IR, so they must be used in a fairly well lit area. I run mine full...

Installing 2 HDD in optiplex elitedesk 800 g4 SFF

Wait, which is it. An Optiplex (Dell) or an Elitedesk (HP). The picture looks like the PC I recently purchased and that is an HP Elitedesk 800 G4 SFF. The way you have the (2) Hard drives mounted is correct. The Spec sheet shows it will handle (2) 3.5" hard drives, and even the internal...
