***PSA for those with a New DAHUA NVR with Built-in PoE switch

Hi, I am exporting original format with the player (seemed like the best quality at a glance)??. One weird issue was with the scissors, when I first started clipping, I would click the clip button where the video was playing, the cut would start there. Then simply click again while the video...

***PSA for those with a New DAHUA NVR with Built-in PoE switch

When working with clips on Dahua smart pss, the scissors want to default to an hour. U can go and grab the end handle and drag it over to a minute after the start then export. Problem is the video clip doesn't match the clip I exported? What gives? It's almost as if there is a database...

A.I. in dahua NVR-4208-8P-4KS2H1 and IPC-T5442T-ZE Which to use? Subject updated

Yes, I'm using smart pss. In smart PSS, no way to zoom on the timeline correct? That would make it far easier to narrow in on a start-and-stop point for an event. And I did also try only having motion events show in the timeline. Anyway to index from the start of one event to the start of the...

A.I. in dahua NVR-4208-8P-4KS2H1 and IPC-T5442T-ZE Which to use? Subject updated

Regarding Dahua NVR, once I am viewing a recording timeline, is there an easy way to toggle to the next event (motion, AI, etc.) in the line? I find it a challenge to mouse over to the event an hit it on the head as far as start and stop. Am I missing something?

    NVR5208-8P-4KS2E setup questions

Hi, I had everything set correct. I ended up having to factory default the NVR. After that, it worked fine. Apparently the NVR was stuck in an error it really shouldn't have been in. Currently it is working and I am confident it will keep working. Thanks

"I like to use .254 as I’ve yet to see that get assigned randomly by the router DHCP pool in a normal home environment" This site has AT&T U-verse router that has default gateway of 192.168.1.254, so be careful what static address you assign. And, what if someone wants to use P2P? Does it...

    NVR5208-8P-4KS2E setup questions

Ok, I believe I'm too F'd up to recover from my mess, how do I reset this NVR? Nvr5208-8P-4KS2E? I've tried powering down the NVR and pressing the button on the inside for 30 seconds +. Still no reset. Thanks. Other than security issues, will P2P work?

Why PFA130-E has top and bottom marked inside?

That's what I figured, another interesting observation. The turret completely covers the mount holes for the junction cover.

Why PFA130-E has top and bottom marked inside?

Does it matter really? I'm sure you don't want an access hole on top, but other than that? Maybe the screw pattern for non turret style cameras? It's not stopping me from installing but thought I'd ask.

I followed the PSA, *On initial setup for the NVR and cameras, DO NOT enable P2P in the popup that asks you this. Uncheck that along with Auto updates. Do I have to enable P2P after initial setup? Ok, perhaps others will come in.

I followed the PSA, *On initial setup for the NVR and cameras, DO NOT enable P2P in the popup that asks you this. Uncheck that along with Auto updates. Is this why I cannot reach the machine with a ping? Do I need to enable P2P?

Ok, I'm at the resting site for the system. Currently CAN log into the NVR via a desktop connected to same network. I cannot however PING the NVR. I was led to this problem due to email test failing. I will admit, my networking experience is limited. I have looked through the Dahua wiki and...

Remote network using a bridge for cameras?

Okay, so the 24-volt POE is for the radios and lower voltage cameras I suppose. But ultimately I would have to have 48 volt POE injectors or POE switch for my Dahua camera.

Remote network using a bridge for cameras?

Hello, questions about Ubiquiti LocoM2. I only need to go 50' to a garage to install one camera (concrete between house and garage, not burying cable). It was recommended that I use the Ubiquiti LocoM2. Seems straightforward except the difference in POE power standard. The camera...

No Access to one CAM Web GUI behind NVR

BTW, I fired up a different pc on my network that had outdated IE, I was able to log into the camera and make changes. Dahua should just avoid using port 10080 straight from the factory. People without a tiny bit of knowledge and resources such as this great forum will also run into the same...

No Access to one CAM Web GUI behind NVR

Yes, on home network, I changed the default address of the NVR as I'm doing some setup at home which is full of ip devices including 12 cameras. I did not want the NVR competing with my existing setup. The system is for a family member so will be moving it shortly.

So, if I'm understanding the NanoStation®M correct, I would need a two pack , as shown in the link you provided, no other equipment necessary for one poe powered camera? The NanoStation®M has a poe injector on the power supply?
