Dahua IPC EASY unbricking / recovery over TFTP

Here's my findings so far with the new firmware (DH_SD-Mao-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_IVS_Market_V2.800.0000000.4.R.191105) - My converted Amcrest PTZ is working fine so far with one minor hiccup. I can't pinpoint exactly when it began but after a scheduled reboot the cam started producing a...

Dahua IPC EASY unbricking / recovery over TFTP

The biggest benefit for me is having IVS events. IVS is much better at eliminating false alarms with motion detection. It's not perfect but in my opinion it's much, much better than standard motion detection. The Amcrest firmware is crippled and that's a shame because IVS is a really effective...

Dahua IPC EASY unbricking / recovery over TFTP

After flashing to Dahua's V2.6 I did the Full factory reset, then after going to V2.8 the Amcrest model number remains. I read on a different thread an account of someone who also had converted an Amcrest PTZ had the same issue after upgrading. As long as this is the only relic left from the...

Dahua IPC EASY unbricking / recovery over TFTP

Corellon you're THE MAN!!! Kudos to you :) I tried the older firmware a lot earlier in the process but it didn't yield any results. This time I guess I had all my commands correct and as of right now the camera is displaying the Dahua Gui. Now before I upgrade to V2.8 through the gui I was...

Dahua IPC EASY unbricking / recovery over TFTP

Okay I changed the command file to include the semicolon before the flwrite command to make sure there wasn't going to be an issue with that. I also did your first and least risky solution which was flashing the partition bin only and then reflashing the rest of the commands after a camera...

Dahua IPC EASY unbricking / recovery over TFTP

I did use relik's solution because I was having issues with the camera taking some commands at first. So instead of using run commands for any of the files I did each command beginning with "tftp...". Here's are my command file contents -

Dahua IPC EASY unbricking / recovery over TFTP

So I attempted to reflash again and this time I closed tftp before it could begin it's command sequence all over again. Afterwards I waited for the camera to boot up and the GUI was still showing the Amcrest firmware at 192.168.1.108. I'm also getting "success.txt, File not found or No Access"...

    Review-Dahua IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M Dual Starlight Cam

Can someone please post a photo of their camera's IR reflection issue? I'm considering buying this camera for mounting it to a soffit that sticks out about 6 or so inches from my house. I've heard that IR "over exposure" can also be an issue when the IR's reflect off of lighter colored house...

    Dahua NVR5216-4KS2 / NVR5216-16P-4KS2

Well I "fixed" my "problem"...:brainfart: I took for granted that the NVR's TV interface lists different options than the PC's browser interface. Turns out there is a option for 'auto logoff' on the TV interface, so I've set that to 0. Now hopefully this will make a difference as I've read...
