Using third party web monitoring service to monitor BI stream

Thanks @Edcfish. That's what I ended up doing. Created a simple webpage with the stream embedded as iframe. Then added statcounter code to the page.

Using third party web monitoring service to monitor BI stream

Is there any way to integrate a third party webpage monitoring service (I use StatCounter for some of my websites) to monitor IP hits on my BI camera streams (mjpg stream accessed externally using the http://IPaddress/mjpg/CAMNAME/video.mjpg url)?

Way to replace video feed with still image

Thanks for your ideas guys! I run my own webserver, so I used the first suggestion and just placed the PNG file there and pointed BI at it. Works great!

Way to replace video feed with still image

I have a camera that was watching a birds nest while the birds were growing. They are gone now, and I'd like to let my viewers know the show has ended by replacing the stream url to the video with a static picture. Is there a way to do this?

    Hikvision doorbell camera - DS-KB6003-WIP

Is there an easy way to change the wifi SSID this device connects to? I've recently made some upgrades to my wifi, and changed the main SSID and would like the Hik doorbell to connect to this new SSID.

    Help identifying inexpensive 1080P Cam

I've actually got 6 of these cameras now. Four of them I have up on my roof as weather cams, viewing in 4 different directions. Images are good quality, they've stood up to both summer heat and winter cold here in Toronto, and they work great with BlueIris, and also with Motioneye. The only...

Does Streaming to YouTube use bandwidth if no one is watching stream?

Was considering using BI to stream one or two of my weather webcams to YouTube. That way I could share the live video with others, without having to give access to my BI server webstreams directly. Question is, does the stream use bandwidth all the time I'm connected to YouTube, or only when...

    Hikvision DS-KB6003-WIP Wi-Fi Doorbell chime?

I've just ordered the Hikvision version of this doorbell from Ebay seller. Question: is it possible to set it up without using the Hik-Connect app? I plan on using it as a "normal" doorbell with the camera connected to BlueIris as a security camera. Don't really expect to need the two-way...

Text overlay from file on network drive

Was able to solve the issue by running BI as a service under my user name, not the system name. The network link to the filename worked fine. (Though interestingly I still couldn't see the mapped network drive ie: "Z:/network" in the list of available drives).

Text overlay from file on network drive

I have a txt file that gets written to a network drive that I would like to use as text overlay on my cameras. I know in Settings -> Macros I can set a macro to a file. I tried using "\\ip-address\folder\textfile.txt" as the filename, and then when I add the text overlay in the Camera...

    Help identifying inexpensive 1080P Cam

Using the Onvif Device Manager software, it identifies the cam as manufactured by ZSGL. I tried to find info about manufacturer or camera, but didn't find anything useful. Using the software though, it does give you video feed url: rtsp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:554/H264?ch=1&subtype=0&proto=Onvif...

    Help identifying inexpensive 1080P Cam

I generally agree, however, for my non-essential needs, I've had some luck with the "no name junk". Three of my IP cams are cheap offshore cameras that have been running fine, non-stop, for more that three years. Two of those are outdoors, exposed to Toronto winters and summers (the other is...

    Help identifying inexpensive 1080P Cam

I had an unused TP link power injector that I used for the PoE. I have a number of other cameras on my system (which I use to monitor weather, not for security purposes), some of which are also PoE powered, which I do have hooked up to a POE switch. Once I'm done using this camera to spy on...

    Help identifying inexpensive 1080P Cam

I do indeed have it hooked up with Blue Iris which recognized it no problem. Camera is functioning fine - as noted in my OP I got it to monitor wildlife that was digging up my lawn. I've posted a couple of the nighttime captures here. Quality seems fine for a 2MP camera, at least for purposes...

    Backyard Critters vs Scarecrow

Been having some problems with skunks and raccoons using my back lawn as a dinner plate. The skunks do a great job of peeling back the sod, and the raccoons make very credible golf cups. We live in urban Toronto, so these critters are to be expected, but I was getting tired of the mess they...

Simple schedule to record only at night

After doing some more research, I think I may have improved my understanding enough of profiles and schedules to set it up as I wanted. This post helped a lot. Here's what I did. Under the BI Options screen, on the Profiles tab, I called profile 2 "11 to 6". That's all I did on this...
