Do you mean this: I saw that, but does that mean support is necessary? I was running BI without support on V4 and I don't want to pay an ongoing annual fee for support unless that is my only option. Is it? That is not clear.

Absolutely the correct answer. Many of these services are huge security risks and port forwarding your cams is not a good idea other as IP cameras are notorious for having shoddy security. Setting up a VPN is not hard and has many other benefits.

Am I the only one who read the thread title quickly and thought that this thread was about Wildlife Center Cameras? I have one of my BI cameras in my backyard to catch video of the deer and other wildlife that we get in our yard - hence the interest in this subject.

And it could be other software that you have that is logging on - for example I have a Control4 Home Automation system and I can use it to view my BI cameras. But doing that caused the popping sound to keep happening - until I shut it off.

Interesting. What is the motivation for this? Is it to be able to record the weather radar as a video file? Or do you want to be able to see the weather radar on a multi-camera page in addition to all of your "real" cameras? Or is there some other reason?
