Problem with water spots inside camera (IR)

Do you have another camera with IR pointing towards this camera? I put in a new camera and I had a similar look, but mine was very small and not taking up that much of the image. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Who has the edge these days? Dahua or Hikvision??

Bought mine from Andy on this site and he had the latest firmware already installed. They already had English version. If an update is available you can get it from this site. Even if an update comes out I don't plan on doing it unless I see it includes something I need. If it ain't broke why...

Who has the edge these days? Dahua or Hikvision??

Either one. Everyone has there own brand they like. It's like asking which oil to use, you will get all kinds of answers. For my needs the Dahua Starlight series was a perfect fit and I've been very happy with my choice. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

another illegal dumper bites the dust

I hate lazy people that only think about themselves. He's probably done the same with larger stuff in the past. Let someone else worry about it mentality. Thanks for sharing I loved seeing him be humbled. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I'm going to take the plunge.

That's what I'm going to do for now. My router doesn't support VPN, and I paid too much just a few months ago to change it right now. I've been trying to find a way around this with no success. Eventually I'll come up with some work around. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I had to order the extra screws since I'm putting in two drives, thanks for the info. Ordered a DisplayPort adapter too. Never even heard of this before so had to research how to get this thing hooked up to the monitor. :smash:

    Hello and thanks in advance

Well with a lot of reading since last Friday, everything I thought I was going to do has changed. Thanks to some great reviews on there I've order various starlight cameras from Andy. The biggest change is I'm going Blue Iris. I've been looking for a system I like, but I think I'm going to go...

Is Blue Iris that much better than iVMS-4200?

I was ignoring all BI threads and was ready to get an NVR that I narrowed it down to. Back to the drawing board and many more nights of reading. At least my camera choices are still good to go. Yes I'll read first! This sounds exactly what I need to be looking at. Love this forum! Sent from...

    Issues after Hikvision NVR Flash

This is why I'm glad I found this site. I've been doing research now trying to find a DS-7716NI-I4/16P and almost bought one last night. Now I'm holding off so I can read more to try and make sure I get a US version that the company will support the software. Scratching my head!

    Hello and thanks in advance

Noob to IP security. I've been researching like crazy and just found this site. I was going to by a pre boxed Lorex system, but after looking further I believe I'm going to look at a Hikvision NVR and build my system myself. I think this will be as much a hobby for me as a security system. I...
