Did you ever get an answer to this? I also have the 7608 NI-SE. Currently on Firmware V2.3.12 build 160622 and some of my cameras are CH. Found a 3.0.22 firmware on the European portal. I've installed firmware from there before but it's been several years since I've messed with this thing.

I have switched to Mac. I would like to use a simple browser to view my cameras on the NVR. Can anybody recommend a NVR that will do this (and of course has iOS support). I saw an Amcrest on Amazon. Any others?

It was easy once I found the right tftp server. Finding it was a bit harder to do. Lots of threads, but not many links on Hikvision's site that worked. I then thought "it is trivial; how hard can this be?" and found a decent tftp server from solarwinds... but couldn't get it to stream the...

Only tip: use a working tftp server :). The one you found was on the Hikvision site so try that first. I didn't find that one but instead tried a few free/shareware ones that I regret spending the time on... they did not work for me. I eventually found this one via a thread in another camera...

Whew. Fixed it after multiple attempts with various tftp servers. I eventually found a link to the actual old Hikvision one on a Russian site that worked. The tftp server from solarwinds -- no luck for me.

I installed the 3.09 firmware from the European site and now my NVR won't boot. It shows a Hikvision graphic on the screen, beeps twice, then the monitor seems to shut down. It seems to try to reboot and beeps twice again but that's it. Is this thing dead? Any way to recover it? It does not...

ok just to follow up for others: 1. Prompt responses from CBX. 2. Ran this on my Chinese camera that I had already installed USA 5.1.6 on. Rebooted the camera. Everything came up in English and looks fine. 3. paid for and ran this on multiple Chinese cameras and all works fine. This was easy.

So will this allow me to run 5.1.6 from hikvisionUSA on a camera I bought from China? With 5.1.6 from HikvisionUSA all menus are in Chinese. If I ran this I'd be able to have the menus and day of week in English? What is pricing for 5 cameras?
