    SD49225T-HN frequent restarts

well the wyzecam folks have figured out how to reflash from sdcard. dahua needs to catchup with these $25 cams. either provide a full proof upgrade/reset, or don't allow firmware updates. If I want potluck flashing, I'll got back to foscam.

    SD49225T-HN frequent restarts

maybe not, it appears to be bad firmware, or bad install process in my case. In any case, im really not happy that the reset button doesn't work, and there is no way to re-flash from sdcard. $350 and several hours down the toilet.

    Giving Nest Outdoor a try

Pretty impressed with the Nest Outdoor Cam so far. While $200 is really more than I would like to put out, the Nest at least preforms well, even under 55 MPH winds today. The interface is basic, but is very responsive and the people detection so far is 100% with no false events. Connection...

    Wirefree - Solar Solutions

Starting to see some results. The argus 2 works pretty much as designed. There are a few weird issues, but so far not bad. The battery stays above 90% with the solar cells. I woukd like to find a cam with a low minimum focal distance, like 1-3in. The argus appears to be about 8-12 inches...

I have 4 SD49225T-HN for 3 years now from Empire Andy. They are solid performers. Haven't found a better 25x deal in this price range. I`m in the market for a 5th 25x with autotracking (of wildlife) and was hoping for a 4k 25x autotracking in this price range soon.
