How to use Hikvision Audio and Alarm IO connections

The 3MP versions are: Bullet 2632f-is or dome 2732f-is. There are 4MP versions also or about to be released (not released yet where I live) called 2642 or 2742. Sent using Tapatalk

Hik dome/cube install - looking for advice

Added a picture of my front door cam, where I have blacked out en single IR led. As you can see there is a slight difference compared to the pic in my previous post. Upper right corner is more black and overall image is a bit more clear. What do you guys think? Ruppmeister, thanks for your...

Hik dome/cube install - looking for advice

Hi Added new day/night pictures along with settings. Please let me know what you think and if I can improve the picture even more. I also just went out and covered a single IR led with electrical tape on the 2532. Will post a new pic of that when it gets dark. Turning WDR on do not seem to...

Hik dome/cube install - looking for advice

I have actually done some more tweaking. Both in settings but also adjusted a bit more as you suggest. I'm having a little IR issue but am thinking of trying to cover a single IR led with black electrical tape, in the 2532 to see if it helps. With the current settings WDR is turned off as this...

Hik dome/cube install - looking for advice

I know. Need to give the garage a good clean up. But we just moved in - two years ago. ;) - With two small kids there is not much time and I much rather fiddle with tech stuff then cleaning up ;) Sent using Tapatalk

Is is nuts to place a cam in an inner corner?

I was also thinking of a 2.8mm for picture 1. The door is about 2m / 6.5 ft away. The window is closer. In picture 2 the door/window farthest away is 33.8 ft from the corner mounting point. That is too much for a 2.8 lens, as you mention. Would a single 4 mm cam be able to cover all...

Is is nuts to place a cam in an inner corner?

Hi all, Is it complete nuts to put a camera in an inner corner of a house, please see attached pics. A couple of dealers has advised to put the cam on the outer corner. As I see it, by mounting it in the inner corner I get an good view of the doors and windows and also an overview of my...

Hik dome/cube install - looking for advice

Hi, Attached a couple of pics - before and after. I think the image looks much better now. But there might be a little IR reflection in the top right corner from the eave. What do you think? :) - Turn the cam a little bit down and to the right as Del Boy suggested? BR Søren

Hik dome/cube install - looking for advice

Actually I have done this with my garage cam, but haven't thought about it with the outside cams because - as you point out - I haven't got much sky in the image, nonetheless I will give it a try in the morning and see how looks. Thanks for the suggestion :) BR Søren

Hik dome/cube install - looking for advice

Thanks. I only have about 1-2mm that I can adjust it more to the right - because of how it is mounted - But I will give it a try :) BR Søren

Hik dome/cube install - looking for advice

Hi again, Just went out to adjust the lense. I rotated the lense 180 degrees (please disregard the times I worte 360 degreed in previous posts, I ment 180 degrees) so the IR leds not are downward. I can now see a bit more of the brick wall, but also a better overview. So far I'm happy with the...

Thank you. I just did the same trick, with an old pc headset with defective speakers, I had laying around. Work great. Br Søren

Hik dome/cube install - looking for advice

Yes, I need to do that one more time. Do you think the issue could be that I have rotated the lens 360 degrees so the IR leds are upwards. I needed to do that to get the picture I liked. Br Søren Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hik dome/cube install - looking for advice

Hi Blake, Yes, I have thought about that. Only issue with that is, I'm using alarm input of the 2532 for my doorbell to trigger snapshots and emailing, to see who's at the door when not at home. Else I would change to a turret. Br Søren Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hik dome/cube install - looking for advice

Already did that in my previous post :) - The three pics of front door cam are 'before remount', 'dome remounted' and 'without dome'. Yes, its hard to see what is what without hovering over the pic and reading the file names. :) BR Søren

Hik dome/cube install - looking for advice

Hi Ruppmeister, Thank you. Yes, I like how the driveway cam is seeing some of the street. I have tried to turn the cam a bit to the left, to avoid as much of the eave as possible. Please see attached picture. I can not avoid the IR reflection completely. As you point out, I should have mounted...

Hi all, I'm in the process installing ip-cams around my house. So fare installed three. I started with the front of the house and garage. Beforehand I've been reading a lot of reviews and forums about the subject. From review by networkcameracritic.com and posts in this forum I decided on...
