Secure ways to connect to Dahua NVR remotely?

I couldn't find a better place to post this, so if this is not a correct section, please move. I tried searching the forums and online but I couldn't find clear answers. Maybe I was also a little too lazy to search properly.. We installed Dahua cameras and a Dahua NVR to our customer, which...

How to connect Dahue ePoE cameras through various items..

Indeed they were demonstrating how well the ePoE works over any kind of cable or conductor for that matter. So you can basically use any 2 wires to connect the cameras to the NVR or ePoE switch, this is mostly useful with old coaxial cables. I was also quite amazed by the max distance, it...

IPC-HFW1831C-PIR 8MP WDR IR Mini Bullet Network Camera / Active Deterrence

Am I missing something here? I still can't see PIR or passive infrared sensor mentioned anywhere in that datasheet.

Dahua has lost its mind - Portable UAV Counter-Gun UAV-D-1000JHV2

Ahhh.. I was too late to edit. Indeed it gets brought down, I guess its a Phantoms safety feature, I'll have to check mine if it has something like that. It seems the best way to shut it down is still an eagle.

Dahua has lost its mind - Portable UAV Counter-Gun UAV-D-1000JHV2

Hmm.. I did watch a few now. It still seems that they just can't control them after the gun is disrupting the signals. Maybe if there is a safety feature on the drone that lands it after it loses GPS signal or something (the last one on the video probably has this, since its rotors stopped after...

Dahua has lost its mind - Portable UAV Counter-Gun UAV-D-1000JHV2

I don't know why but I want one! It's a shame but I suppose that this can't actually drop them out the sky. It disrupts the signals but the drone would probably keep hovering? On the other hand.. it does have 70 minutes of operating time.. so if you're patient enough, you could keep "shooting"...

IPC-HFW1831C-PIR 8MP WDR IR Mini Bullet Network Camera / Active Deterrence

Oh ok. Seems nice! I wonder why there is no info about the PIR on the Dahua website :idk: I am patiently waiting :sleepy:

How to connect Dahue ePoE cameras through various items..

I was at the Dahua Starlight show last week. In case you are wondering how you could connect Dahua ePoE cameras through spoons, take a look :) They also connected them through pickles, beer cans, sausage and meatballs, unfortunately, I don't have pictures of those

IPC-HFW1831C-PIR 8MP WDR IR Mini Bullet Network Camera / Active Deterrence

Looking forward for some info. I was thinking of getting one for testing as well but I might as well wait a little more :) Does it have PIR though? I couldn't find any info in the specs or datasheets, neither on Dahua or Lorex, just the product code that has PIR in it.

    Enough of this abusing..

Hi! I am Steve and I have been abusing the information from this forum for 2 years. I have decided that I will put an end to this  Not the information abusing, hell no.. I will continue to do that as long as the info is available. But I decided that I will try to give back as much as I...
