Thanks for the reply. Well, I guess you would some tool to measure the power consumption at the plug of the POE switch. Even if the switch would display the wattage of each used port - it would miss out on its own consumption. Which to me belongs to the equation as well. Don't be fooled...

Hi there, a little update on the broken VTH5221DW... I got it fixed via TTL flashing the ROM (V4.3) via TFTP with a Win10 in a VM. Now it seems to work just fine again - as the screen comes on and operation seems to be normal so far. Thanks, INT

As riogrande75 did say... with V4 firmware (SIP2.0) on both devices you should be set to go...at least that is the promise. And it seems that Dahua takes the same route with only supporting SIP2.0 firmware in the foreseeable future. Thanks, INT BTW Your link does not work here.
