driveway sensor relay to trigger BI camera

I have a very similar setup using a Shelly 1 plus, but when the relay closes I send a MQTT message from the Shelly into NodeRed, which then triggers a http request to Blue Iris to trigger the camera. But looking through the Shelly 1 Plus UI I think you can do this without using MQTT. You can...

How to get BI to save alert jpg to folder when trigger happens

Try configuring for the cam : Alerts>Actions>On Alert > FTP upload image and upload the cmaeras alert image. You'll need a FTP server to upload it to, which you can configure in Windows. You'll have to define the FTP server in BI Settings.

    5.7.5 - April 20, 2023 - Onvif updates

Yes, you can set an action on Alert within BI to FTP the image to Home Assistant (for which you need to use a FTP server addon in HA), then use a folder watcher in Node Red to grab the image and sent it via whatever alert method you want. I've used this method and it's quick.

Who uses Dahua AI capable cameras? Reliable AI for triggering events? Pro's/con's?

FWIW I migrated some Dahua cams from using BI motion detection + Deepstack to the camera's own IVS. I too have lost the pre-trigger buffer that was present when using BI motion detection + Deepstack. Now, when reviewing footage the alert clip (triggered by ONVIF) starts exactly at the point...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

It's possibly still your trigger and cancel urls. Mine are these: http://localhost:81/admin?camera=[camera]&user=[Username]&pw=[Password]&flagalert=1&memo=[summary] and http://localhost:81/admin?camera=[camera]&user=[Username]&pw=[Password]&flagalert=0&memo=[summary]

You don't need two trigger URLs. Remove the first one. The flagalert and memo tags can be comined into one. Also I think your "(cancelled)" in the Cancel URL might be wrong. I just have "&memo=[summary]"

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

I'm still experimenting myself with the 'Cancel URL' but it seems that if I use Cancel URL (in a set-up where I'm permanently recording 24x7 with motion detection jpeg snapshots) then for any false alerts (i.e. no object of interest detected) the Cancel URL results in the Alert image being...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

Is there a reason you're posting the images using the post tab rather than sending them using the Alert tab? Maybe that is the cause, as I don't see anything else especially wrong with your config. You might also want to remove the "trigger" statement from the Trigger URL because you don't...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

I don't use "&Trigger" at all in my URLs as my camera is recording to disk 24x7 anyway. For me, the purpose of the "Trigger" URL is to use the "&flagalert=1&memo=[summary]" to update the Alert details in Blue Iris.

Edge Vector is probably the issue. For Edge Vector to work the slider settings need to be quite a way to the left. Change Edge Vector to Simple and see if that fixes the issue.

Try disabling "Use FLAC audio compression" under Record>Video File Format and Compression. I had to do that to get one of my cams to use the substream.

    Intel NUC5i7RYH for residential use

I run a NUC5PPYH for 5 x 2mp cams, each at 10FPS. The NUC has a Pentium N3700 (supports Quicksync) and runs at around 30% CPU when correctly optisimised according to the Wiki. 24x7 recording are made to a USB connected WD purple. So it works fine for these relatively modest requirements. I...

    CPU Usage Tweak

I didn't see this anywhere in the Wiki, so thought I'd post it as it has reduced my CPU usage from 35% down to 20%. In Windows 10 Power & Sleep settings > Additional Power Settings > Change Plan Settings > Change Advanced Power Settings ....change the Intel (R) Graphics Settings to "Maximum...

    PCNVR4200 vs HikCentral vs IVMS5200

Hi Venturis, I tried IVMS4200 but I could not get it to work with the IVMS4500 app for live viewing without port forwarding the cameras to my router....which for me is a big no-no. I've since implemented OpenVPN so might give it another try, first vpn'ing into my server and then trying to...

500g hard drive full after minutes of recordin(2 hikvision cameras+ ivms-4200 pcnvr)

PCNVR pre-allocates most of the free space on the drive for recording. It does this by 'filling up' the drive with these video files. They then get over-written with the actual recordings. It's nothing to worry about.
