I really don't know what your point is , are you saying it will display a color picture in darkness as Empire candy wrote ''ColorVu will be no LED or IR''or that the supplemental light comes on when motion is detected to give the color picture ?

It is if you want it to perform as i the marketing video above, it does not turn on and off when movement is detected like a security light.

Out of the box the supplemental light is on by default and of course can be switched on or off , but whilst it may be very good in very low light the marketing video (a few posts above) clearly shows shadows in the black and white shots from a light source on the opposite side of the camera...

I am using Hik-Connect monitoring 5 cameras and have the motion events, I select which camera, then touch the 3 dots in the top right corner, then playback, select the date, then flick my thumb up from the bottom of the screen and events are there, EZVIZ also has events.

There is no obvious tab or anything the image looks fine but then again this is a 4k camera and my dedicated monitor for general viewing is only 720p, I will see if I can get a better look later. Thanks for your help again
