    IPC-Color4K-T180 view in BI

I unfortunately don’t have an answer for you, but tell me…which of the two cameras do you like more, and why? I am trying to decide between the two for a camera for the front of a garage.

    Hik ColorVu vs Color4K-X / Color4K-T?

    Oh, absolutely, that's technically a Dahua but it's a pretty bad sensor...1/2.7" 2MP, apparently!

    Hik ColorVu vs Color4K-X / Color4K-T?

Aren't both the EmpireTech / Dahua and the 8MP Hik ColorVu 1/1.2" sensor? I did not know that they do not have infrared. But again, I have plenty of artificial light, even with my lights off.

    Hik ColorVu vs Color4K-X / Color4K-T?

Should I go for 8MP (either platform) / would one excel over the other in the 8MP department? I really would like higher resolution (I believe 4MP is what I have already) but not if it makes nighttime footage relatively unusable!

    Hik ColorVu vs Color4K-X / Color4K-T?

Thanks! This is exactly what I needed. I have a lot of ambient light at night. Right now just looking to do as best I can for driveway / get away from Amcrest / Dahua flood light...surely I can do better than this? It's also Wi-Fi and often goes offline.

    Hik ColorVu vs Color4K-X / Color4K-T?

Is there a clear winner between these cameras? I understand that a 4MP ColorVu is going to be better in low light than an 8MP ColorVu, but are the Dahua / EmpireTech Andy offerings (Color4K-X / Color4K-T) 'better' than ColorVu, or are they basically the same thing?

    Where to purchase ColorVu cameras?

Where is the best place to purchase ColorVu cameras? Amazon? B&H? EmpireTech? I ask because past experience with buying Hikvision cameras from Amazon suggests there are different firmware versions and thus feature sets out there. I am specifically after turret cameras, which is why I am not...

    Amcrest IP4M-1051B 4MP Pan-Tilt (Dahua hardware)

I would like to know this as well. I just ordered one of these from Amazon for $70 after a terrible experience with not being able to get the $35 ASH-21 model working with Blue Iris.

Amcrest AD110 - Can I do better than this?

I received my Amcrest AD110 video doorbell yesterday and was able to get both it and the included module for my existing mechanical chime hooked up. I have not been able to get remote access working yet, but that's alright because I will be using Blue Iris. Likewise, I did not install a microSD...

System keeps rebooting...now multiple times a day...and I don't know where to begin...

The whole computer reboots :( Blue Iris does restart with the computer, though, so that's good.

System keeps rebooting...now multiple times a day...and I don't know where to begin...

I don't know how to navigate this or even where to start, but I am trying to figure out why my BI computer reboots multiple times per day so that I don't have to rebuild or replace the computer / OS on which BI runs. These three screenshots depict my ping logs (an external service pings the...

Why does my Blue Iris computer shut down from time to time?

I have a 2016-built system running about two dozen Hikvision cameras, and it keeps shutting down. The rough system spec is Blue Iris 4, Windows 10 Professional, and a Dell Optiplex with boot SSD, 16GB RAM, and an 8TB NAS hard drive for storage. Direct-to-disk recording is turned on, and nothing...

Will a reverse proxy allow a camera feed look like it's in a subdirectory of a website?

bp2008, I am trying to get this to work right now. Let me me rephrase my original post into a single, simpler question. If my stream is viewable at http://192.168.0.115:81/mjpg/Cam1/video.mjpg, for example, will a reverse proxy set up on a web server located on the same network make it so that...

Will a reverse proxy allow a camera feed look like it's in a subdirectory of a website?

My first question is will a reverse proxy effectively allow me to host a website on the same network as the Blue Iris server and make it look like the Blue Iris camera feeds are in a subdirectory of the website? Secondly, is it possible to set an htaccess or NGINX rule (in the case of a Linux...

Camera password somehow changed, cannot get in

@Mike, of the bad cameras, two are V5.4.1 build 160525 and one is V5.4.3 build 160902.

Camera password somehow changed, cannot get in

Oh my! I did not know this was possible, either!

Camera password somehow changed, cannot get in

Fascinating! I did not know this is possible. However, I do not physically have access to the cameras, as I am located in another state, and it may be difficult to impossible to get someone who is onsite to get a camera hooked up to a computer the right way and grant me remote access.

Camera password somehow changed, cannot get in

I oversee a three-year-old installation of 16 2CD2342WD-I cameras, all purchased through Amazon, and over the past six months three of them have somehow had the password changed, which is pretty much impossible because nobody else knows the passwords or even how to log in. I have tried the...

Can't seem to play back at normal speed

Oh wow, thank you! Not sure how that happened. The recorded footage since unchecking this is now playing back normally.

Can't seem to play back at normal speed

I manage a two-year-old Blue Iris system for a company, and recently they've been unable to play back one particular camera's recordings at normal speed, whereas up until a couple weeks ago it worked fine. Regardless of what the speed shows, it seems to play back at around 120x speed. Nothing I...
