I don’t blame your wife :) I was going to purchase a SD59225 myself but ended up with SD49225 because it is smaller and lighter. And yet, it still provides the same camera sensor with 25X zoom. The only feature I lost is auto tracking but size and weight was a big factor for me.

The only way to confirm is to run the simple utility like H2testw to see the read and write performance. It takes seconds to find out. For u3 card, you should get 90MB or higher for read and 30MB or higher for write. A counterfeit will do under 15MB.

U3 class 10 cards from Samsung and Sandisk are very good. Look out for cheap counterfeit cards from eBay. There are simple utilities available on PC to test the performance of the card. I always run them to test my newly purchased sd card.

Is it fair to assume that the IVS Abandoned Object won’t work with PTZ Tour since the camera doesn’t remember the previous image once it turns to another location?

The default address for Dahua camera is in the 192.168.1.x subnet. My subnet is 10.0.0.x and the router won’t recognize my Dahua camera. So I had to change the router address to 192.168,1,x temporary in order to access the camera and change the camera’s IP address to 10.0.0.x.

IVS allows to specify the object size to distinguish various objects (e.g. people, car, pet, etc.) by setting minimum and maximum integer value. However, the document gives no clue as to what min and max value should be set for car, people, etc. Any idea?

I am running the latest firmware and it allows me to create a guest user account which is great. So I created one with access to live view and ptz only. When I logged in, it allows me to modify the password of the guest account. Is that a known bug?
