I use BI, with respect to how I use it, I think its a great product. I'm not sure I'll pay for updates. But if someone doesn't like the change, it should be ok to complain about it and not be feed a poorly crafted/missleading sales pitch.

You need to embrace Windows and have some skill with it or BI will be very painful to get going. Learning curve is not small but is manageable if you're will to get hands dirty, but If you want simple, get NVR. If you do purchase BI and don't like it you can use it as backup for NVR, but NVR...

ok lets see you have probably over 100 posts which indicate BI is cheap, many updates and no annual costs. Now there are many people who visit this forum and they know what you preach so amuse us.

Things are changing, you probably have at least 50 posts bragging about how there is no annual fee. So be careful with your spin, it might not spin well. For me its no problem.

What if you cooridinated with BI developer, basically together you would be able to define a stable version which BI would also bless as stable. And that is the version you build your tool off of. Because of my limited experience (2 basic systems) I admit I don't comprehend the big picture...

Should make you stuff easier, when you have a very stable version that works with your tool, save it and share it with users of your tool. Maybe you only need to have a few versions saved per year, making debug easy.
