    I want to record sound from an external microphone (RCA input) into channel 1. For a DVR there is audio RCA input but I have not found any NVR that has RCA input. Is there such a NVR with RCA audio input? (preferably Hikvision as my current DVR is from Hikvision)

    I used to have a 960H DVR, bought a 1080N XVR. On the old 960H DVR, the live feeds of the individual channels looks fine. But on the new 1080N XVR, the live feeds of the individual channels are cropped and stretched (half of the feed (right side) gets cropped off, then the remaining left side...

    I mistakenly bought a ptz joystick that supports only RS485 (it has a RJ45 port but seller said for future implementation) NVR has RS485 A and B IP PTZ only has RJ45 and power in Can I connect RS485 from controller to NVR and have the NVR convert the RS485 into onvif commands for the PTZ camera?

    How to get live video output from IP camera?

    So we now have a old camera is using BNC, to get the live view of the camera, we would use a BNC to composite video cable. Is there such a cable to convert the RJ45 output to HDMI?

    Since IPCs run on the IP protocol, it is possible to port forward individual IPCs from a few different locations from different places and then have an NVR at the main location and have the IPCs linked up and recorded there? Has anyone tried this concept before?
