    Birdhouse Camera? Which Model?

AH, yea, I do see that on the label. So the HPAV version is probably OK for me.

    Birdhouse Camera? Which Model?

I'm leaning to the newer model OC432, mounting will not be an issue since I'm doing everything custom anyway. It looks like there are multiple models of OC432? OC432 HPAV and OC432 DLS Do you know which one(s) have poe?

    Birdhouse Camera? Which Model?

I am building a very large 'birdhouse' to house a very large ALPR camera. I already mounted a 10' post, run the networking cables and now need to start building the birdhouse. While I'm at it, I thought I would actually put a real birdhouse in the enclosure that is actually to hide the camera...

    Review: IDahua DH-ITC-437-PW6M-IZ-GN / LPR-437 - ALPR/ANPR - Traffic & Access Control Camera

    Depending on your situation, you can define 'filters' to only capture plates that match a specific pattern. For example, I use these: p replace=I->1 p replace=O->0 p pattern=EENNNE p pattern=NNNEEE p pattern=EENNNN p pattern=NNNNEE p pattern=EEENNNN P pattern=EENEEE By limiting the patterns...

    Review: IDahua DH-ITC-437-PW6M-IZ-GN / LPR-437 - ALPR/ANPR - Traffic & Access Control Camera

Why are you trying to capture plates in color at night? Your exposure time can be faster at night, in B&W and using the onboard infrared lighting.

I tried and tried for hours, it was like the firmware was not even uploading. I ended up doing a factory reset and the new firmware was then successfully upgraded on the camera. After the upgrade, I had no video in the web interface. I knew the camera was working, as I could remotely connect...

You actually were able to upgrade your camera? What hardware version are you running? Mine refuses to take any new firmware.

Thought I would make another post, a follow up to yesterdays. This one is to SHOW OFF what these 2mp & 4mp cameras can do. Also, why do they not work in all cases?!?!? Here are some snaps from tonight, this is the 4mp camera is taking photos from under the roof of a building - about 20ft off...

Thanks @Wildcat_1 for the review. I had my cameras dialled in quite well, but with a few tweaks to levels you suggested I think it is a bit better now. Does anyone else use the Advance section under Intelligent Analysis section? I use it to limit the plate patterns to accept and ignore...

    Hit & Run

This person was leaving a known drug house, probably was drunk or high (or both). The owner of the car reached out to me today and asked if I would have footage from last month, yep, still got it. I also have ALPR setup on that street so was able to provide license plate information as well.

Dahua ITC415 ITSAPI Sending the same HTTP Push repeatedly

I send back this: { "Result": true } It is a little JSON, I send that back regardless if there is an error or not. I've never had that cameras send anything multiple times.

I have not noticed any reboot of my camera. Not sure what you mean by pushing the camera, but I am doing 3000+ captures a day with mine.

Have you tried to apply a shield area, the shield area button is on the same page as your screenshot here. I believe you apply that to prevent any captures of vehicles in that area. The capture area is not the area to capture plates, but where to 'snap' the photo of the moving car. You could...

Yep, you got it. You need to process those URL's. I do not see any way to make the camera send those to a URL of your choice, so you must be ready for those and process them on your webserver. The keepAlive request is just nonsense, no idea what it is for. The TolllgateInfo requests I think...

Yes, the requests sent to your server are POST. They contain images etc. which would never fit for a GET request. You will want to check your logs and see what URL they are requesting at your server, what you put in the URL of the ITCPUSH page is NOT what it ends up requesting. They...

    LPR for 160m/540f

If it is the PoE version, you can't use an AC adapter. They make non PoE versions (I have two of them) that you power with a 12v power supply, those can not be connected via PoE - if you try, you blow up your light. This light here: Smart 11S IR Illuminator - Security Camera IR Light, outdoor...

    Review: IDahua DH-ITC-437-PW6M-IZ-GN / LPR-437 - ALPR/ANPR - Traffic & Access Control Camera

I have made a decision on my cameras to use the Intelligence custom algorithm settings. I am using the current plate format(s) for my area, I miss any personal plates, motorcycle, trailers etc. but I find it keeps my false positives down (way down). I am capturing about 3,000 - 4,000 plates a...

Can anyone point me to a firmware that has North American plate algorithm? My camera is correctly identifying plates (as I can see from the green overlay) but it will not 'recognize' them as a plate. I have no option in my firmware to select North America which is why I assume it is ignoring...

Car chase, crash and building collapse!

My guess, that is not auto tracked. Someone did it by hand. It would be silly to have auto tracking on a street like that, the camera would simply be going crazy as there would always be movement.

    LPR for 160m/540f

I was thinking about your attempt to collect plates that far (super cool by the way!). I have a hikvision PTZ mounted on my house. The camera is mounted under the roof of a 2 story house, so maybe 20ft off the ground. The vehicles I am capturing are either leaving or soon stopping at a 4 way stop. So their speeds are maybe 20km (12mph) on average. The road is quite busy, I capture about 3000 - 4000 vehicles per day. I...

I have been working to dial this camera in for a while. I am 165 ft away from where I am taking the photos and the angle is not great either, which is why I choose to shoot so far away. This is far beyond the specs of what this camera should be capable of. I capture 95%+ of the plates in the...

    IPC-LPR437B-IR / IPC-LPR237B-IR @ Night

Very strange. I can go an entire night and not get a single plate, if I make it too dark that only the plate can be seen. If I brighten it up a bit (the plates look WORSE) and it can see the vehicles then it can capture the plate. Another thing I changed was Vehicle Detection Sensitivity (on...

    IPC-LPR437B-IR / IPC-LPR237B-IR @ Night

Just in case anyone else finds this thread looking for solutions. I have found that these cameras must 'see' a vehicle before looking for a plate. In the past with OpenALPR, you want to get the best shot of the plate possible, that usually means reducing the exposure down so you just see a...

    IPC-LPR437B-IR / IPC-LPR237B-IR @ Night

I have both of these cameras, purchased from @EMPIRETECANDY. I am getting good results during the day, plates are captured no issues. At night, I basically get nothing. Today I took some 'snaps' in the GUI as cars are going past. I assumed that they were blurry or there was some issue and...

@Colditz, I'm also successfully processing ITC messages from the cameras. Does your camera return any speed or direction information? Both of those are listed as features for the camera but I never get that data sent to me.
