PoE IP Camera for 3D Printer monitoring

After your reply I started to think how can I make the distance longer. The enclosure is ready and has a plexiglass front. So either inside or through a plexi. I need to make exact measurements.

I didn't think about that! You're completely right.

Turret on a pole and rain

Thank you. I was thinking about everything you wrote here and I guess I'll start with a 3D print ( CCTV IP Dome Security Camera Rain Snow Shield Guard Cover by darkcrow101 ) and a hydrophobic spray. Will see how it goes. But I guess I'll wait till winter is over - not a fan of working in cold ;)

PoE IP Camera for 3D Printer monitoring

I'm looking for a PoE IP camera to monitor prints in my 3D printer. 1. Smaller is better. 2. It will be in the printer enclosure (close to the monitored object, even as close as 10-20cm. 3. There will always be good lighting conditions (dedicated LEDs inside). Any recommendations for such...

    Review-OEM Loryta IPC-T5442T-ZE Varifocal 4mp camera (Dahua)

I just wondered if it's possible to get rid of that effect like in the fixed lens model. I guess it's the lens characteristic, but I don't know - I have no experience with IP cams. You say previous 5442 batches had not this effect? BTW, bottom left vent is like this actually ;) No Loryta...

Turret on a pole and rain

Hello, I have this pole which I cannot make any longer and a turret cam which is looking just straight. I have a problem with rain, drops are always blurring the image when it's raining. If I turn the camera to look lower, then I wouldn't get any face shot on the roof. Can anyone more...

    Review-OEM Loryta IPC-T5442T-ZE Varifocal 4mp camera (Dahua)

Exactly that, horizon is in like 1/4 of the image from the top and zoom was set to about 2.9mm. I have currently zommed the cam to 3.8mm and curvature is smaller, but it's still visible. And yeah, I know the cam is not installed straight - I'm currently playing around with it.

    Review-OEM Loryta IPC-T5442T-ZE Varifocal 4mp camera (Dahua)

Does anyone know how to get rid of the lens distortion (curved horizon)? On a fixed lens 5442 I have an LDC option, but not on IPC-T5442T-ZE. Any advice? I just used find/inspect and kept PTZ settings. Zooming in/out works for me.

New indoor IP cam you can trust

I'm also looking for two inexpensive indoor cams I can put on a table when needed and these Amcrest IP2M-841W for 50USD seems to be exactly what I need. Unfortunately in EU I see them for 113EUR, so I guess I'll look for some alternatives

IPC-HDW5442T-ZE New cam from Dahua :)

I've bought this cam to see what kind of fixed lenses I would need for the rest of my setup. The thing is, in the "Zoom and Focus" setting page there is a slider for zoom with a range of 1 to 2275. Any idea at which point I'll acheive 2.8mm, 3.6mm and 6mm -like FOV?

    First IP cam setup

This is a good info! Thanks for the headsup, I'll wait then for the varifocal model for testing :-) Man! Thank you for this information :-) Do you think a gasket cut by myself would do the trick? Just wondering if it's reasonable to save few bucks there. It looks nice :)

    First IP cam setup

Yes, I saw that before, but if it's possible, I would like to stay with turrets. Sorry if my post was not clear. On the roof itself there is an exit, a 'hatch' or I don't know how to name it. This is the thing you can see on the a7a8PU5.jpg photo. It's on the roof and this is why I want a cam...

Dahua VTO2111 notification to home automation system

Hi mifrey, From what I noticed, 443/SSL packet is being sent to fcm.googleapis.com - this is why the IP changed in your case.

Exactly that :) In my case this is fine, as I have a VPN tunnel up and running most of the times.

VTO2111d-wp - Push Notification Setup with just a mobile?

Yeah, +1 for what catcamstar said. Anyway, I bought one VTO2111D-WP myself and what I noticed is that when you cut off the doorbell from the internet (leaving full local network connectivity with an android phone), all works fine except calling to gDMSS app. I checked the network traffic being...
