The white dots and the rubbing noise maybe due to the way you mounted - overhead? Have you tried mounting the correct way?

According to the spec 42212 has IR cut filter. You meant you want to turn on by schedule? That sounds like software issue that Dahua can address with firmware update.

In that case, Dahua should fix that. Processor temperature isn’t useful to user.

Yeah, very solid mount. You can probably stand on it. The downside is all Dahua’s mounts I have seen are too bulky and stick out like eyesore. These mounts are terrible for home, imo.

Any idea as to why Dahua doesn’t put these low light sensor in their smaller ptz? Big sensor?

They make wall mount bracket for the camera. The only problem is like all other wall mounts, it sticks out a lot from the wall and doesn’t look very appealing for home.

Can’t you ignore the message and go to config? Sorry, I use safari, not Chrome.

You can still use the browser without plugin on your mobile device to change config or reboot the camera. It just that you can’t view the video without plugin.

Do Hikvision cameras allow user to do factory reset thru software?

Do people need to create a Hik-Connect account in order to use the Hik-Connect app to access the camera? I’d like to avoid the P2P setup if possible. It seems the app allows to add a camera manually via ip address. What features or functionalities are lost without creating an account?

I saw your posts about hikvision DS-2DE4A220IW-DE camera. Do you still like the camera? How is their mobile app Hik-Connect? I will setup the camera with my PC initially but plan on using iPad for viewing for the most part, so I hope their mobile app is solid.
