Camera drops out of Blue Iris, but works fine on browser

I changed the frame rate and rebooted the camera and it works great now. Honesty, compared to the Foscam it replaced, this is a much nicer camera. What issues do they have other than things like this? The image is amazing. Even at night. Auto focus is a bit fussy but I don't move it that much...

Hello all, I have a new camera that I installed outdoors. It's been working flawlessly, then today it dropped off of BI. The display says "I/O error:0" On the same computer that is running BI, I can click the IP and port address that is displayed on the BI camera setup/video window, it opens a...

How to get Blue Iris to automatically start when restarting PC w/Windows 8.1

If you set BI to run as a service, I read that it doesn't have the UI so how to you access it locally? Do you use a browser window as if you are accessing it remotely? Also, if you try it and don't like it, is it easily reversible back to normal? Thanks! John

"Cannot connect to server" pop up message

hello all, I love the mobile app, I use it on tablets that run all the time. Only bad thing about the app, if the connection stops momentarily, The BI mobile app pops up this white message box that it cannot connect. You have to press "okay" then the software automatically logs on. Extremely...

Need advice, security camera in assisted living

Hi David, Thanks, those appear to be wired cameras. I'm going to have to keep this wireless as they wouldn't take too kindly to me drilling holes in the walls. Those do look like really good cameras. I know a lot of cameras are accessible from their proprietary apps (Like foscam or Amcrest) I...

Hello all, I would search for this but not sure what to search. I wanted to see if anyone might have a not-too-expensive solution. My mother in law lives in an assisted living center. She has a private two room unit. One night she woke and her cat was not laying on the bed. She got up to...

file access error "unable to open file: 80000040"

I think I figured it out. I kept looking at the folders on the NAS drive and could see the folders and their contents but it made no sense that I could open the files and access to the folders was really slow. I then went to another machine on the network and tried to save a simple Jpeg to the...

file access error "unable to open file: 80000040"

Hi Fenderman, the error is displayed at the top of the popup video viewing window. I thought perhaps the "80000040" corresponded to a file name but it's the same each time with different files. Yes I see the files on the NAS drive, no problem, Just cannot open them. I am using the blue iris...

Hello all, New here in the security camera/Blue Iris world. I have to Foscam cameras which I have set up and working well. The one thing I am trying to do, and can't seem to get it to work properly is to record to a network drive. I really wanted to record directly, in case my home were...

Same thing here. Also appears before it crashes, no audio goes from my phone to the camera. Like you, it works perfect on the Foscam app.
