    Camera markup prices

Hi everyone. I'm just trying to gauge an average markup price for cameras / materials that installers are commonly charging nowadays. Also, if anyone is able to share their hourly labor costs I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Issues with VCA options on new DeepInView Bullet

Multiple directions? Meaning what? One camera is meant for two lanes. That can mean two lanes going in the same or opposing directions. Provide a diagram or picture of what your trying to capture.

Looking for reccomendation for licence plate camera.

Get the Hikvision 7 series at B&H. I've had mine running flawlessly for 5 years, mounted on a tree.

Issues with VCA options on new DeepInView Bullet

What are you intending to use the camera for? I have only used it as a LPR, which has worked flawlessly, mounted in a tree, for over 5 years now.

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

No condensation issues here. Mine is still working flawlessly for the last 2 years

Review of the Hikvision OEM model IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' IP CCTV camera.

I'm loving the 2CD5A46G0 still. The quality of the night video is amazing especially in pure darkness. I have not purchased a 5442 so I can't really compare the two

    Hikvision DS-7616NI-E2/16P upgrade

Search the device type in Hikvision. I would assume if it was purchased in Malaysia its going to be a international or Chinese model. That's probably why your running into the upgrade issue.

    Hikvision DS-7616NI-E2/16P upgrade

It looks like your on the UK Hikvision site. Have you verified the NVR is UK / International version? I'd also suggest in searching the Hikvision US website and see if the update you need is listed there. Just be careful because sometimes the firmware is different with EU/UK/US/International...

Review Video of the 8mp Hikvision Darkfighter with active deterrence DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL

Field of view is the only difference. 2.88 is wide angle compared to the 4mm

Review of the Hikvision OEM model IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' IP CCTV camera.

For a 9pm shot everything looks good to me. If your trying to read license plates with this camera it's going to be very difficult. This camera is not intended to be used as a LPR.

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

I wanted to see how bright I could actually make the video in a totally dark setting. I was just conducting a quick first test after I had literally just installed the camera. I have been fine turning it over the last several days and have gotten better captures.

Call the cops or no? Kids without helmets

If you called me for this I'd politely laugh and tell you I have more important issues to deal with.

Review Video of the 8mp Hikvision Darkfighter with active deterrence DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL

It's difficult to capture any usable video in low light / total darkness scenes. I'd always expect some degree of ghosting. It's a hard balance when you need to keep shutter open longer in a scene that has movement. I think this camera does a good job in low light scenarios.

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

I agree. Once again I had less than optimal enviromental lighting. Even with the reflective snow, the amount light in the scene is very minimal. TDLR, it's a dark scene even with the white reflective snow. I'll wait for the snow to melt to do a comprehensive overview video. And this is a picture...

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

I agree that snow is highly reflective but even with dark skies and no moon light and no ambient light the camera simply shocked me with that capture. It out preformed the DS-2CD2347G2-LuU to my surprise.

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

I did a quick night test last night under a no ambient light outdoor scenario. Make sure to watch it in 4k.

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

You are correct. I totally misspoke. I went through many of my cameras and found the gain by changing to the day setting. My apologies.

I did not see that post and I'm honestly shocked to see that. Thanks for providing proof

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

Hikvision does not do gain sliders. Dahua does. I'm calling him out and asking to post proof of his gain slider.

Post a screen shot of your gain slider.

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

I have a US, official version, 2.8mm with no gain option as well. I have never seen a gain option slider before on a Hikvision camera. I do see a new addition under Smart Event Intrusion alarm for Target Validity which I have never seen before. Seems to me that you can tailor Acusense now based...

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

Just installed mine on a DS-1280ZJ-S. In my opinion the entire mount looks ugly but this is the recommend setup by Hikvision. I'm going to see how well it work tonight in total darkness.

    Natural Gas Generators

I don't believe Tesla will allow you to charge your powewalls through a stand by generator. That idea seems like it would be very burdensome on the standby generator too. The way my powerwalls charge is two ways. First is through my solar panels. Second is through the electrical grid system when...

    Natural Gas Generators

I highly recommend looking into Tesla Powerwalls as another option. I have 4 power walls as a whole house back up which are charged by 48 solar panels. My system was installed in October of 2020 and I love it. I lost grid power 11 times since install and my power walls have ran amazingly without...

Review Video of the 8mp Hikvision Darkfighter with active deterrence DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL

If you watch my video, at the 5min mark, I demonstrate the options the audible warnings that can be implemented. And yes you can use your own custom alarm if you wish. And no there is no audio out. The speaker is loud enough to be heard over wind.

Review Video of the 8mp Hikvision Darkfighter with active deterrence DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL

For almost 1 month now I have been testing out a OEM version of the Hikvision DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL 2.8mm that I received from one of my suppliers. DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL Similar to the G2 ColorVu turret, this camera has impressed me with the inclusion of Acusense combined with its Darkfighter...
