I would like to upload a video that I received from a friend into my Blue Iris 5.0. My goal is to use the AI tools on that video to see if it can detect face/vehicles/etc in Blue Iris. Has any one tried this? Appreciate any insights you can provide.

Blue Iris has a bunch of motion detection features you can use to basically "highlight" the area that you want to pick up the photo for LPR. You can also try Zone A to Zone B in your motion detection also. I'm sure there are other BI motion detection experts out there -- of which I'm not one!

Are you doing this integration with Blue Iris software? Or something else? You can take a look at Plate Recognizer. Their API Cloud has webhooks that let you connect 3rd party data to the LPR. It's pre-integrated with Blue Iris if you're using Blue Iris.

You can see a full dashboard on Plate Recognizer website. You can search, filter, flag, etc. the license plates captured. I'd expect they'll make this more robust in the upcoming weeks.

That's a lot of money for limited value. Is the hardware any good? Or is it some cheap plastic from overseas? Who is the original hardware mfg?
