Been experimenting with different positions , ended up with this, ran it in the crack of the t1-11 siding. Need a chrome trim escutcheon tho!! They have expanding chrome trim escutcheon for 1/2 copper for plumbing, but the hole is too big. Repeat-the hole is too big. Need smaller diameter escutcheon to finish !

why not just fill the cap with a bit of clear silicone caulking and be done with it? Water tight, bug proof, boom. done.

Looks good, and some paint will make it blend in very nicely!
