So I have received my 4 th camera today IPC-HDW5541H-AS-PV 5MP WDR IR and added it to the blue iris app 5.1 latest version and my cpu makes a massive jump by just adding this camera to around the 90% to 100% with three cameras its normally around 30-40% I have looked at wiki to reduce cpu and makes little difference any logical reason why it shoots so high?

This cannot be answered unless you provide info on all cameras resolution and frame rates as well as the exact processor you are using. Ensure you are using direct to disk.

also note, that processor will support hardware acceleration for the two 1080p cameras. Your frame rates are high, reducing them to 15 will yield a big drop in cpu use.

Are cameras over 2mp not supported by hardware acceleration?
