Does anyone know how to add third party cameras (ONVIF) to night owl NVR (NVRH5-4BU-842)?

I have tried to connect Swann, Hikvision, Amcrest, and TrendNet cameras however they are not detected. Manually selecting the + button under camera shows "POE can't add IPC".

Night owl support is a waste of time and not helpful.

I am hoping that there is a way to manually configure cameras which I have not found yet.

Any suggestions would be great!

Query the camera with the open-source tool 'ONVIF Device Manager' from sourceforge.net
This will give lots of info about the camera, including what the 'ONVIF port' is, in the URL at the bottom of the Identification page.
You will need this to configure the camera in the NVR.

You will also see the RTSP string, for a generic RTSP connection, in the URL at the bottom of the 'Live Video' page.

Yep u need the rtsp address for each camera. They are all different. You also need the cameras ip range to be the same as your Dvr ip to make it work.
