4.7.2 - March 14, 2018

  • Communication with the Blue Iris server (blueirissoftware.com) for updates and registration is now made with HTTPS (SSL, secure connection).

  • Updates for the iOS and Android client apps will be forthcoming which will also use HTTPS when communicating with the Blue Iris web server.

  • Due to Google/Chromecast updates, it is now required that you use HTTPS (Stunnel or other) on your local server if you wish to use the Chromecast feature.

So I'm not 100% sure about this, but I've been looking at MPC (Media Player Classic) source code, and from what I gather the Intel driver doesn't actually support H265 decoding directly although the CPU does support it. Decoding through DirectX does support H265 - but BlueIris doesn't support this. DirectX decoding would be great, as that would open up HW acceleration for all video cards as well...

Again, not fully sure, but I think this is actually the core issue...
