I'm guessing just a little - but I don't think this is a fatal error, it sounds like the validity check that u-boot the bootloader does on the environment variable storage area.
The default values are supposed to work OK.
If you had access to the serial console, and interrupted the u-boot bootloader, a check / change as needed of the values with printenv / setenv then a re-save with saveenv would re-create the CRC.

In some cases, it can be connected to the serial and sometimes not

Presumably the PC is on a wired connection, and the firmware file 'digicap.dav' is in the same folder as tftpserve.exe

I used a direct cable between the device and the computer, but the problem did not resolve
That can be a troublesome method.
Best to have the PC and the NVR each on a wired connection.

Does the PC have any 'network protection' firewall or antivirus that would block access to the tftp server update tool?
