1st Question.

I have an Intel i76700 CPU @ 3.40GHz 4.41,

What hardware accelerated decode would you use? Default, Intel, No, Intel +VPP or Nvidia Cuda?

2nd Question.

How do I switch from H264 to H265 under video format and compression?

Thank you,

Rick

Forget H265 for now and stick with H264. Start with Intel +VPP and switch to Intel if you uncover any issues/

Since that CPU has Intel graphics capability, use the Intel acceleration assuming your motherboard has onboard graphics. Using Cuda isn't efficient, in most cases, unless there is no onboard video and that's all you have. Even then it takes a 1030 or better card for Cuda to work.

Use H264 since BI doesn't handle H265 very well, yet. That is set in the camera.

The release notes explain vpp...not to be used with high bitrate throughput...just use intel HA. h,265 will work fine, its just that HA is not supported with intel for h.265
