I am looking for a camera system with these characteristics and am hoping to get some good advise.
1) I'm on a Mac and iPhone. I'd like to do setup on the Mac but get notifications on my iPhone via text messages.
2) I'd like to be able to set the system up myself.
3) I'm looking for 2 - 4 exterior cameras and 2 interior that record when there is motion and notify me. I'd like to be able to turn notifications on and off easily from my iPhone. I'd like to be able to see the video or a series of still on my iPhone.
4) 2 of the cameras can be setup so I'd like like a series of pictures or video without any panning. 2 I'd like to just be able to look around with panning. But I'd like to know essentially what the effective "focal length" of video cameras are and how I can determine that.
5) Ideally I'd like to own all the hardware so there are no monthly charges.
