Alert Video Freezing with 2 Cameras

We have a Blue Iris setup with 2 IP cameras; a HKVision DS-2DE4220-AE and a Lorex LNB4321B. Both cameras are having an issue with the video for alerts freezing for 10-30 seconds.

We initially setup the cameras with the default VBR settings, but have tried changing that to CBR and made sure that the video settings between the cameras and BI matched. We are still seeing the freezing on every alert.

Attached are screenshots of the camera and BI settings for each camera.

Any help would be appreciated.

your problem is related to your improper enter of continuous+triggered in the record tab. Set it to continuous. It will still display motion triggers and alerts...the + option is for a completely different purpose as explained in the help file. Furthermore to reduce cpu consumption set recording to direct to disk
