I caught someone taking photos of the equipment label on one of my amcrest cameras (IP8M-2496).
Is there any chance someone could hack my equipment using the label on these cameras?
The label includes a QR code for initial setup.

Thanks, Mat

Not if you have the cameras isolated from the internet.

Even though mine are isolated I still remove those tags.

They should be isolated via either VLANS or a dual NIC in the BI computer.

That is crazy BTW as they had to know they were on video LOL.

The tags are being removed now! I have the cams setup with my Blue iris pc. How isolated should they be? Can you provide an example?
In the mean time make sure the p2p and upnp is disabled in the camera and in the camera network settings change the gateway address from your routers address to a different ip (you will likely be forced to keep the same subnet so just change the last digit to something different).
