Android APP connects randomly when not on WiFi

Android App: 2.0.48
Blue Iris: 4.6.4.6 x64

This was all working great, until I upgraded to 4.6.4.6, from 4.6.2.1 or 4.6.0.4 (can't remember which).


Issue: When connecting via the android app from OUTSIDE my network (not on WiFi), I will have to attempt to connect several times before it actually connects and logs in. Sometimes 1, most times it takes 10 or 20 attempts.

The error message I get in the BI Android app most of the time...
- Unable to connect: Unable to reach server

Sometimes, I will get this error message...
- Unable to connect: No matching user/pw


- I've verified the user/pw is correct.
- I've verified port 81 is valid viahttp://canyouseeme.org/.
- I'm using my cable modems Ip address.
- This works without any issues when connected via WiFi.
- On my desktop, I can connect to the local server.
- On my desktop, I can connect to the server using my cable modems IP address, via firefox IE...
- I reverted to an earlier BI on my desktop, but had the same issue.

I believe it may have to do with the BI Android app. Some type of timeout error in the app?
When there's an error, it's immediate. When it eventually does connect and login, it takes a few seconds.

Also, when it does connect via my phones data, it's very slow, and I'm getting the 'bars' about 1/3 of the time.

Anyone know where I could download the BI Android app a few version back?
