Anonymous Login

I bought a new camera and I can't get the anonymous login to work.

The camera is a IPC-HDW4431C-A-V2 and the firmware is 2.420.0000.22.R, Build Date: 2016-12-09.

I asked the seller if new firmware might help and he sent me DH_IPC-HX4XXX-Eos_PN_Stream3_V2.420.0000.22.R.20161209.bin.
Looks like the same thing to me so I didn't see much sense in installing it.

Might this camera require something more than simply checking the box?

Any suggestions appreciated.

That's a China Region version. It's been hacked to English. You will find in most case's, if you update the firmware, it will revert to Chinese.
And you could have other issue's with it as you have found.
