I decided to experiment with the "Smart Codec" setting for my IPC-HDW4231EMP-AS camera. Everything had been working great, but as soon as I enabled this feature, it caused the browser plug-in to fail. I have checked and my NAS appears to still be recording correctly and I am able to access live view from the NAS software. II'm on OS X with Safari and everything is up to date. Add this to the list with IVS as things that don't work in the OS X plug-in.
Very annoying that there's no way to get Dahua's attention on this. I tried emailing the US tech support, but they just said you have an out-of-market camera so we won't help you. Lame.
