i wondered what you all thought of this diy idea;
Polarizing Film - HIGH TEMPERATURE | eBay
apply this to the lens glass of my bullet cam
to reduce sunrise lens flare
a hood would block too much view i need.
it may also reduce glare from street lighting
that's in my field of view as well.

i obviously worry about the lux impact and if
IR lit subjects will transmit through this film.
i would cut the film to make sure it's not
blocking the IR LEDs themselves and
adhere it to the glass with soap water
maybe from the inner side of the glass.

another idea is if there's room between
the cam lens and protective glass panel
i could sandwich in a router camera filter
37-82MM UV Hood Circular Polarizing Lens Kit For Nikon Sigma Tamron | eBay
i may even be able to cut it out of the
black frame so i'm only left with the glass
in order to keep it as thin as possible.
