Archived Video Length Incorrect

I am continuously recording on two cameras in BVR format and I cut the clips in 1 hour increments.
After 7 days, I convert these to MP4 and store them on a network drive for 30 days.

Within Blue Iris I can view the BVR files and they correctly show and run for an hour.
When I try to watch the same video in the MP4 format on VLC, the video duration is listed as 35:39 minutes. When it reaches the end of the duration, the video keeps playing like there is an hour of content, yet it thinks there is only 35 minutes.

I have tried other media players and they all show the same issue.

sounds like a bug in BI's re-encoding to MP4. I've never converted anything more than a few seconds to MP4 (like when extracting footage for police to USB fob) so never experienced that myself.
Email BI support and report it.

I did send them an email reporting this just before I posted this here.
Was just wondering if anyone else had encountered this before.
