Better hard drive?

Hi all,
I have a 4 x 8mp Hikvision setup on a Hikvision 7608 NVR. I currently have a 4tb WD Purple drive and am looking to upgrade it to a total of 8tb. I may just buy another 4tb and add it to what I currently have, or just buy an 8tb and replace it.
But I suddenly thought about the Skyhawk drive and it got me wondering....apart from the obvious increased storage is there any real world difference between these two drives? Or any other recommendations?
I guess they're all much the same right?

It's a matter of personal preference. One is as good as the other.
Me I stick with WD purples. I've had the best luck with WD's drives.

I've had two purple drives crap out along the way so they aren't perfect but I do choose them every time.

You may get better write performance using two drives.

I've had bad luck with multiple Seagate drives and prefer the WD Purples.
