BI 4.4.3 demo version (so far), two cameras..timestamp not recorded, solved

the live timestamp is not recorded on this one camera..

I used the overlay section to add it manually, but still doesn't show in the triggered recording

Blue Iris can't add the timestamp when direct to disk recording is enabled, but direct to disk recording is supposed to not work in the demo version, so I'm confused.

Either way, I suggest you make the camera (not Blue Iris) add the timestamp to the video stream. That way it will be there no matter what.

bingo.. that was it.. don't know why I changed that.. go it on the camera vs blue iris doing the work..
