WD drive unlocker appeard (I set a password on the drive, didn't reboot cause it didn't need too) and grabbed the D: drive letter which screwed my BI New and Stored drive settings. Must of occurred during a reboot.

I want to have a PC as a dediated BI Server and don't want this kind of stuff happening it should grab the first open drive letter, not D.

I'm eeeerrrrrrkeeeed, is Seagate better (USB HDD storage)?

First dont encrypt your drive..if the pc reboots you will be screwed..
Is there more than one usb drive plugged in?
Windows will assign the first available drive letter...is D not the first available letter?
There are ways to get around this..but whats wrong with it always being D?
The brand of drive wont affect this issue.
