Hi,

I currently have my IP cameras & BI server on a Vlan with no internet. It works but requires a VPN in to use/see it. What do people do in terms of networking to keep it all 'secure' but accessible?

Thanks,
RIch

At the moment I have stunnel running on my Blue Iris setup which routes to my domain name (one of my servers runs DDNS to ensure my domain updates should my ISP give me a new IP address). I understand it may not be VPN level but it's a convenience factor that I like.

My cameras themselves are firewalled off from direct access, but the Blue Iris server itself is allowed to access the internet.

I also make it a point to keep an eye on logs just to see if anything is amiss.
