Here's the settings I have for my Hikvision DS-2CD2432F-IW:

Audio Encoding: G.711ulaw
Audio Input: MicIn
Input Volume: 100
Environmental Noise Filter: Off

It's not the greatest microphone in the world but the sound comes through pretty clearly. In BI for that camera make sure you have Enable Audio Channel set and IP Camera Stream set. I have gain set at 100% in BI. Hope that helps.

Thank you Fenderman :) I just found a few more threads.. and see the http port needs to be 80 for talk back.. im guessing just add it to the end of the ip address since the old http port setting has been removed?

you dont need to specify 80...its the default if no port is entered...you need to select the 2cdxxxx camera from the dropdown. and also make sure to enable video+audio in thevcamera itself.

Cool i will try that. The camera is at the owners house but im going to have access to it friday. I noticed in another of your threads you said enable video&audio on main and sub stream. Im assuming the discovery/onvif port are not the same as the http port?

Copy that, thank you! That was my original try was selecting the ds2cdxxxx option and being sure ulaw was on both along with video&audio in the cams gui. I never changed any http ports, and due to when i go to its gui i just enter the ip and it connects makes me think it is set to 80. Have used chrome with ie tab and internet explorer and cant send audio to the cams speaker. I did read up on a couple of your threads before i even recommended him buying this camera. I have not tried the ivms app, or the video&audio in both sub and main. Are any of the I/O switches in back possibly causing a problem? Thanks again for helping.. Im bringing this cam home friday to test.
