Hello,

I recently upgraded my phone to a Samsung Galaxy S20+ with Android 10. The Apps transfer between the old and new phones went fine, however, my Blue Iris mobile app (v2.0.71) on the S20 could not log into my https Blue Iris servers (v4.8.6.3 using stunnel v5.56 with a self-signed certificate). I went back to my old S7 phone and it still worked fine. I can also access the sites via https on another android table I have on hand. I confirmed both phones have the same settings and I cleared out geo fencing.

Before someone advises me to clear out the list of mobile devises, the new S20 phone does not appear in the list of mobile devices on the Blue Iris server since it cannot log in. It also is not in the list of banned devices.

Through some trouble-shooting I found that I could not access the sites via the Chrome web browser on the S20. If I turned off HTTPS on my Blue Iris server, I could log in via the mobile app on the S20. Also, I have a Blue Iris server on the same local network as the phone and I get the same results, so I don’t think it is my cell phone service provider.

So I’m thinking this is an issue is between the Samsung Android OS 10 and the self-signed certificate used by stunnel.

Has anyone else seen this issue or have any guidance?

One of my clients was having the same issue and I was able to fix it by updating Windows then updating Blue Iris. After that he restarted his phone and was able to get right on. I hope this helps.
