I am trying to connect a Bolin PTZ camera into Blue Iris via UDP and my video looks like this:

or

I have to use UDP because I am also feeding this camera to a video decoder card. I am running version 5.3.1.1 x64.

In the camera status window, I am seeing the FPS/key shows 0.40/0.00. The camera is set for 30 frames per second (FPS).

Any Ideas why it is not working? Thanks!

P.S. Blue Iris's technical support sucks! Emailed 8 days ago and not one peep from them.

Provide a screen shot of the BI network Ip configuration screen for the camera.
Are you wired or wireless ?

UDP does not have flow control like TCP/IP. Also UDP does not have packet order. RTSP uses tcp/ip.

The BI is one person operation, for an outlier question like you have I would not expect a response.

Reduce the frame rate to 4 or 5 FPS to start testing.
Increase the receive camera buffer size to 20 MB.

I reduced the frame rate down to 3 as a test, and increased the buffer size to the 40 MB max, and still have unstable video.

I believe that if BI were a responsible company, they should provide the email support that was paid for.

Does it work correctly if you use find/inspect and go with what it recommends?
Have you tried with and without hardware acceleration?

Did you send the support email as per the instructions in the BI help file?
