With Blueiris running standalone and not as a service all alerts are recorded and accessible. When BI is then restarted and running as a service the alerts can not be created. See screen image posted below. Anyone come across this?

This may be related to the recent update to BI that makes the console able to run without admin privileges.

I didn't think it affected the service though... Maybe you'll need to get in to the service properties (in the Windows control panel > administrative tools > services) and configure it to run under an administrator account.

I have release 3.62.03. The service runs under the local account which is mine and is an admin

Well you have a log entry that says Clips Z:: 0, 0K/39.0G

I'm not sure what that means, but if it is a free space/total space thing then maybe your disk is full.

Or maybe BI just thinks your disk is full...

Hmm. I looked at my own log and it looks like the Clips line indicates how many clips you have (0), the amount of space you are using (0K) and the amount of space you have allocated (39.0G).

So I'm going to suggest that maybe your NAS device is having compatibility issues. Hopefully you can fix this with updates.

It can't be the NAS. When I turn off blueiris as a service and run it stand alone it has no issues recording to the same drive.

I am thinking it is a permissions issue since they just made changes to the way the service runs.

Do you use the software? If you do, you are not experiencing the same issue?

I run BI as a service, and haven't had the same issue, though I use a local drive to store clips.

Have you explicitly told Windows to run the service with your admin/user account? This actually requires entering your user name and password in the service properties form if I recall.

I have the same problem when running BI as a service. Have you figured out a solution?

I'll try the suggestion in the help file to run service under the same user account. Thanks for the suggestion
